The Bronze Altar

1"Build an altar of acacia wood, three cubits high; it is to be square, five cubits long and five cubits wide.1“You shall make the altar of acacia wood, five cubits long and five cubits broad. The altar shall be square, and its height shall be three cubits.1"And you shall make the altar of acacia wood, five cubits long and five cubits wide; the altar shall be square, and its height shall be three cubits.1And thou shalt make an altar of shittim wood, five cubits long, and five cubits broad; the altar shall be foursquare: and the height thereof shall be three cubits.1You are to construct the altar of acacia wood. The altar must be square, 7 1/2 feet long, and 7 1/2 feet wide; it must be 4 1/2 feet high.
2Make a horn at each of the four corners, so that the horns and the altar are of one piece, and overlay the altar with bronze.2And you shall make horns for it on its four corners; its horns shall be of one piece with it, and you shall overlay it with bronze.2"You shall make its horns on its four corners; its horns shall be of one piece with it, and you shall overlay it with bronze.2And thou shalt make the horns of it upon the four corners thereof: his horns shall be of the same: and thou shalt overlay it with brass.2Make horns for it on its four corners; the horns are to be of one piece. Overlay it with bronze.
3Make all its utensils of bronze--its pots to remove the ashes, and its shovels, sprinkling bowls, meat forks and firepans.3You shall make pots for it to receive its ashes, and shovels and basins and forks and fire pans. You shall make all its utensils of bronze.3"You shall make its pails for removing its ashes, and its shovels and its basins and its forks and its firepans; you shall make all its utensils of bronze.3And thou shalt make his pans to receive his ashes, and his shovels, and his basons, and his fleshhooks, and his firepans: all the vessels thereof thou shalt make of brass.3Make its pots for removing ashes, and its shovels, basins, meat forks, and firepans; make all its utensils of bronze.
4Make a grating for it, a bronze network, and make a bronze ring at each of the four corners of the network.4You shall also make for it a grating, a network of bronze, and on the net you shall make four bronze rings at its four corners.4"You shall make for it a grating of network of bronze, and on the net you shall make four bronze rings at its four corners.4And thou shalt make for it a grate of network of brass; and upon the net shalt thou make four brasen rings in the four corners thereof.4Construct a grate for it of bronze mesh, and make four bronze rings on the mesh at its four corners.

5Put it under the ledge of the altar so that it is halfway up the altar.5And you shall set it under the ledge of the altar so that the net extends halfway down the altar.5"You shall put it beneath, under the ledge of the altar, so that the net will reach halfway up the altar.5And thou shalt put it under the compass of the altar beneath, that the net may be even to the midst of the altar.5Set it below, under the altar's ledge, so that the mesh comes halfway up the altar.
6Make poles of acacia wood for the altar and overlay them with bronze.6And you shall make poles for the altar, poles of acacia wood, and overlay them with bronze.6"You shall make poles for the altar, poles of acacia wood, and overlay them with bronze.6And thou shalt make staves for the altar, staves of shittim wood, and overlay them with brass.6Then make poles for the altar, poles of acacia wood, and overlay them with bronze.
7The poles are to be inserted into the rings so they will be on two sides of the altar when it is carried.7And the poles shall be put through the rings, so that the poles are on the two sides of the altar when it is carried.7"Its poles shall be inserted into the rings, so that the poles shall be on the two sides of the altar when it is carried.7And the staves shall be put into the rings, and the staves shall be upon the two sides of the altar, to bear it.7The poles are to be inserted into the rings so that the poles are on two sides of the altar when it is carried.
8Make the altar hollow, out of boards. It is to be made just as you were shown on the mountain.8You shall make it hollow, with boards. As it has been shown you on the mountain, so shall it be made.8"You shall make it hollow with planks; as it was shown to you in the mountain, so they shall make it.8Hollow with boards shalt thou make it: as it was shewed thee in the mount, so shall they make it.8Construct the altar with boards so that it is hollow. They are to make it just as it was shown to you on the mountain."

The Courtyard

9"Make a courtyard for the tabernacle. The south side shall be a hundred cubits long and is to have curtains of finely twisted linen,9“You shall make the court of the tabernacle. On the south side the court shall have hangings of fine twined linen a hundred cubits long for one side.9"You shall make the court of the tabernacle. On the south side there shall be hangings for the court of fine twisted linen one hundred cubits long for one side;9And thou shalt make the court of the tabernacle: for the south side southward there shall be hangings for the court of fine twined linen of an hundred cubits long for one side:9You are to make the courtyard for the tabernacle. Make the hangings on the south of the courtyard out of finely spun linen, 150 feet long on that side.
10with twenty posts and twenty bronze bases and with silver hooks and bands on the posts.10Its twenty pillars and their twenty bases shall be of bronze, but the hooks of the pillars and their fillets shall be of silver.10and its pillars shall be twenty, with their twenty sockets of bronze; the hooks of the pillars and their bands shall be of silver.10And the twenty pillars thereof and their twenty sockets shall be of brass; the hooks of the pillars and their fillets shall be of silver.10There are to be 20 posts and 20 bronze bases. The hooks and bands of the posts must be silver.
11The north side shall also be a hundred cubits long and is to have curtains, with twenty posts and twenty bronze bases and with silver hooks and bands on the posts.11And likewise for its length on the north side there shall be hangings a hundred cubits long, its pillars twenty and their bases twenty, of bronze, but the hooks of the pillars and their fillets shall be of silver.11"Likewise for the north side in length there shall be hangings one hundred cubits long, and its twenty pillars with their twenty sockets of bronze; the hooks of the pillars and their bands shall be of silver.11And likewise for the north side in length there shall be hangings of an hundred cubits long, and his twenty pillars and their twenty sockets of brass; the hooks of the pillars and their fillets of silver.11Then make the hangings on the north side 150 feet long. There are to be 20 posts and 20 bronze bases. The hooks and bands of the posts must be silver.
12"The west end of the courtyard shall be fifty cubits wide and have curtains, with ten posts and ten bases.12And for the breadth of the court on the west side there shall be hangings for fifty cubits, with ten pillars and ten bases.12"For the width of the court on the west side shall be hangings of fifty cubits with their ten pillars and their ten sockets.12And for the breadth of the court on the west side shall be hangings of fifty cubits: their pillars ten, and their sockets ten.12Make the hangings of the courtyard on the west side 75 feet long, including their 10 posts and 10 bases.

13On the east end, toward the sunrise, the courtyard shall also be fifty cubits wide.13The breadth of the court on the front to the east shall be fifty cubits.13"The width of the court on the east side shall be fifty cubits.13And the breadth of the court on the east side eastward shall be fifty cubits.13Make the hangings of the courtyard on the east side toward the sunrise 75 feet.
14Curtains fifteen cubits long are to be on one side of the entrance, with three posts and three bases,14The hangings for the one side of the gate shall be fifteen cubits, with their three pillars and three bases.14"The hangings for the one side of the gate shall be fifteen cubits with their three pillars and their three sockets.14The hangings of one side of the gate shall be fifteen cubits: their pillars three, and their sockets three.14Make the hangings on one side of the gate 22 1/2 feet, including their three posts and their three bases.
15and curtains fifteen cubits long are to be on the other side, with three posts and three bases.15On the other side the hangings shall be fifteen cubits, with their three pillars and three bases.15"And for the other side shall be hangings of fifteen cubits with their three pillars and their three sockets.15And on the other side shall be hangings fifteen cubits: their pillars three, and their sockets three.15And make the hangings on the other side 22 1/2 feet, including their three posts and their three bases.
16"For the entrance to the courtyard, provide a curtain twenty cubits long, of blue, purple and scarlet yarn and finely twisted linen--the work of an embroiderer--with four posts and four bases.16For the gate of the court there shall be a screen twenty cubits long, of blue and purple and scarlet yarns and fine twined linen, embroidered with needlework. It shall have four pillars and with them four bases.16"For the gate of the court there shall be a screen of twenty cubits, of blue and purple and scarlet material and fine twisted linen, the work of a weaver, with their four pillars and their four sockets.16And for the gate of the court shall be an hanging of twenty cubits, of blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine twined linen, wrought with needlework: and their pillars shall be four, and their sockets four.16The gate of the courtyard is to have a thirty-foot screen embroidered with blue, purple, and scarlet yarn, and finely spun linen. It is to have four posts including their four bases."
17All the posts around the courtyard are to have silver bands and hooks, and bronze bases.17All the pillars around the court shall be filleted with silver. Their hooks shall be of silver, and their bases of bronze.17"All the pillars around the court shall be furnished with silver bands with their hooks of silver and their sockets of bronze.17All the pillars round about the court shall be filleted with silver; their hooks shall be of silver, and their sockets of brass.17All the posts around the courtyard are to be banded with silver and have silver hooks and bronze bases.

18The courtyard shall be a hundred cubits long and fifty cubits wide, with curtains of finely twisted linen five cubits high, and with bronze bases.18The length of the court shall be a hundred cubits, the breadth fifty, and the height five cubits, with hangings of fine twined linen and bases of bronze.18"The length of the court shall be one hundred cubits, and the width fifty throughout, and the height five cubits of fine twisted linen, and their sockets of bronze.18The length of the court shall be an hundred cubits, and the breadth fifty every where, and the height five cubits of fine twined linen, and their sockets of brass.18The length of the courtyard is to be 150 feet, the width 75 feet at each end, and the height 7 1/2 feet, all of it made of finely spun linen. The bases of the posts must be bronze.
19All the other articles used in the service of the tabernacle, whatever their function, including all the tent pegs for it and those for the courtyard, are to be of bronze.19All the utensils of the tabernacle for every use, and all its pegs and all the pegs of the court, shall be of bronze.19"All the utensils of the tabernacle used in all its service, and all its pegs, and all the pegs of the court, shall be of bronze.19All the vessels of the tabernacle in all the service thereof, and all the pins thereof, and all the pins of the court, shall be of brass.19All the tools of the tabernacle for every use and all its tent pegs as well as all the tent pegs of the courtyard are to be made of bronze."

The Oil for the Lamps

(Leviticus 24:1-4)

20"Command the Israelites to bring you clear oil of pressed olives for the light so that the lamps may be kept burning.20“You shall command the people of Israel that they bring to you pure beaten olive oil for the light, that a lamp may regularly be set up to burn.20"You shall charge the sons of Israel, that they bring you clear oil of beaten olives for the light, to make a lamp burn continually.20And thou shalt command the children of Israel, that they bring thee pure oil olive beaten for the light, to cause the lamp to burn always.20You are to command the Israelites to bring you pure oil from crushed olives for the light, in order to keep the lamp burning continually.
21In the tent of meeting, outside the curtain that shields the ark of the covenant law, Aaron and his sons are to keep the lamps burning before the LORD from evening till morning. This is to be a lasting ordinance among the Israelites for the generations to come.21In the tent of meeting, outside the veil that is before the testimony, Aaron and his sons shall tend it from evening to morning before the LORD. It shall be a statute forever to be observed throughout their generations by the people of Israel.21"In the tent of meeting, outside the veil which is before the testimony, Aaron and his sons shall keep it in order from evening to morning before the LORD; it shall be a perpetual statute throughout their generations for the sons of Israel.21In the tabernacle of the congregation without the vail, which is before the testimony, Aaron and his sons shall order it from evening to morning before the LORD: it shall be a statute for ever unto their generations on the behalf of the children of Israel.21In the tent of meeting outside the veil that is in front of the testimony, Aaron and his sons are to tend the lamp from evening until morning before the LORD. This is to be a permanent statute for the Israelites throughout their generations."
